My best advice is don't overlevel spells/items (basically stop at level like 5 imo) and don't be afraid to try all the classes each one is different enough theres at least one you fall in love with. It shows you what items drops on the island for the day. Choose the island that drops the best/most equipment for your build and farm it. Quests or dungeons.
